The highlighter is fed up with Proviso School Board President Emanuel "Chris" Welch. The Insider ( Chris Welch) is supporting the Proviso First Party candidates, Robin Foreman, Carla Johnson, and Robert "Bob" Cox. Citizens of Proviso, we CANNOT let Emanuel "Chris" Welch continue to ruin the lives of our children. Welch is using Proviso to finance his campaigns and employ his family and friends. Our schools are ranked LAST! Maybe Welch should keep his day job because he SUCKS at leading and educating our children. He has lead our schools into the gutter.

The reason our school ranks last is that in the proviso community education ranks last. We have place the funding of education at the back of the bus. It is too simplistic to blame the poor performance of students on the last 4 years of school. The problems are:
1 lack of parental involvement in educating their child.
2 social promotin needs to be eliminated.
3 an emphasis on the the three R's needs to be implimented
4 funds need to be transferred from sports to education
5 the community needs to increase funding the school districts
6 displine needs to be restored to the classroom
7 students and teachers need to be accountable educational progress
Until there is a serious effort to impliment positive change early on in a students career Proviso will maintain last place.
Our schools are ranked last because the leadership only cares about patronage hiring and contracts and not the kids. Educational programs needed to be in place along time ago to assist the large number of kids entering high school with a 4th grade level education instead of promoting a friend to a $90,000 job with a 4th grade education.
Your confused, the reason 209 sucks is not only Welch, but years and years of political shenanigans being the true reasons.Welch is definitly a huge problem, but years of danny Cogliniese also contributed to this scenario. Theresa Kelly also is to blame, as well as Manzo.But the biggest reasons are the mayors and Eugene Moore,.Mayor Pasquale and Mayor Serpico and Mayor Gatusso and Mayor Mazzulla are trying to keep the status quo at 209 because they all have family members or allies working there, and they only support individuals who'll keep the skids greased!Hopefully in this time, the time of Obama, blacks and whites and hidspanics will be able to get rid of the shackles and chains of the mayors and vote Welch's allies out in 209 and 88 and 89.We must also learn to govern ourselves without commiting the crimes of Welch,pasquale and Cogliniese!
I am concerned that since last week's election results in Forest Park, that certain machine political players are going around and saying that the momentun will be for them in April.The saw the vote total out of Forest Park, and noted how well Calderone did and how poorly Doolin did and feel that the voters are fatigued about heaRING about corruption, and that they have basically(the voters) tuned out and that now they will have momentun.
They know that Welch needs to win only one seat to maintain majority and to keep Stan Fields in his job and that Fields has agreed to rid 209 of all of Welch's and Pasquale's enemies.They realize that Charles Flowers has been neutralized since he beat Ingraffia and that Flowers does'nt have the same drive aND interest that he had before, so they do not plan on attacking him, but instead shower him with flowers, so that he won't work as hard and it seems to be working well.There amazed that Flowers and Yarbrough supported Theresa Kelly, who they believe is the weak link.They know and have all the scoops of theresa's actions and plan to expose them in mass mailers which will only hurt the rest of the ticket,especially in Westchester and Forest Park and Berlkley and Hillside, and they have the support of the Mahyors of Melrose Park,Westchester,Stone Park and bellwood, so there very confident of winning at least one seat and Welch was heard that he beleives he'll win two for sure!!!
In disitrct 88, they have teamed up with both Mayors in Bellwood and Stone Park and feel very confident.They know that Stone Park will get a large turnout with there voter rolls of hundred of illegal aliens voting.After the april election they stated they'll focus all there attention on Yarbrough and get rid of her, because as they say, her days will be numbered once we win in April.
So our only hope is to rev up our engines and start working hard so as to make sure we get the vote out.We need the same energy we had when Yarbrough won last time, and also we can't forget that"an injured snake is more dangerous that a healthy one"!
once again, everyone wants to blame the the board, or the teachers or the mayors, LOL...
I remember when I was in school, good grades came from working hard, working hard was a lesson taught by my parents. If I came home with anything less than a passing grade, not only did that mean I was grounded (theres a novel term from the past) it ment that I stayed in doing homework, studying until I had my grades back up.
Children, which is what we are talking about need a foundation right from the start. HS teachers, administration and elected officials can only do so much. The parents are the ones that need to get control of their kids and make them responsible(another word from the past) for making the grade!
One possible solution... your child is not passing due to lazyness or some other choice of failure, we pull them from the classroom, let the ones that want to learn not be disrupted. We place the kid that is so good at not doing his work and force him/her into a community service program (so that there can be some restitution for the tax payers dollars they threw away) maybe we could have them mow lawns in the community or clean the parks, something.
Then when the parent(s) arrive home from work, they have the pleasure of sitting in the classroom with that special child and take all the required classes togather. It would be bonding and learning all at the same time.
I am quite positive this plan will benifit everyone involved. And think of how nice our lawns will look!
The taxpayers will actually get something for their hard earned dollar.
The bottom line is that if my son/daughter wants to hang out with friends, go to parties do the fun stuff in life, they have to earn it. We need to teach our children how to be productive members of society. Another thing that helped some of us growing up was a little ass beating once in a while, dont be afraid to pull off the belt when it is needed.
Sorry Highlighter, welch cant keep his day job either. In case you missed it he was fired from SD88 not once but twice!!!! So where does he go from here.

If you research and compare District's 209 report cards from Manzo, to Kelly, to Welch, you will notice a rise in daily attendance, graduation rates and an overall rise in test scores from the tenure of Manzo to Kelly respectively. On the flip side of that, if you compare Kelly's leadership to Welch's, you will find that the daily attendance, graduation rates and test scores that rose during Kelly's leadership have now dropped under Welch's presidency.
Based on these yearly statics, I have to reject your comments. The only positive rise at District 209 over the last several years, came under Kelly's leadership. The scores were down across the board during the presidency of Manzo and Welch.

I really think the logic is flawed on this one. Nobody in their right mind would ever consider a candidate who received the most votes ever in District 209 school board history to be the weak link in this election. It's not a logical conclusion. It's standard in politics to attack the front runner, or the one who can change the balance of power. This is why they have and will continue to attack Theresa Kelly. It is very obvious that "lil man" Stan and Chrissy has made Theresa Kelly the focal point of their attack and this election. I find it absolutely amazing that this lil old senior citizen black woman, who they like to call “uneducated”, strikes fear in the hearts of "lil man" Stan and Chrissy.
Also, what are the “scoops of Theresa’s actions” that you speak of? Please expound. “Lil man” Stan and Chrissy have already started their dirty campaign. They started by conspiring to commit election fraud and violating the civil rights of the potential candidates and then suppressing the information. Lil man Stan and Chrissy then conspired with the board attorney’s Odelson and Sterk, and actually committed election fraud by improperly rigging the ballot Lottery’s for district 209 and 89. To top this all off, Chrissy, Sue Henry and Danny Adams, oversaw the election panel to govern over the candidate objections…the same candidates that Chrissy is backing. Chrissy even disregarded the stated election law (stature) just to give his candidates a free pass regardless of the mountain of evidence against them. Oh, and the board attorney, Burt Odelson, who is supposed to be neutral…started assisting Eugene Moore’s attorney who was there to represent Chrissy’s slate. This is a disturbing case of deceit, impropriety and conflict of interest perpetrated by the board attorney’s Odelson and Sterk, The superintendent “lil man” Stan and Chrissy.

Are there any attorneys out there that can tell me if libel applies to internet blog as well as anything else in our daily lives?
It would seem that accusations without proof, much like this bloggers, should be held accountable in the same manner as the Tribune, Sun Times or any other news agency would.
Please let me know as I have been able to obtain this bloggers IP address down to a sub net mask which will provide an address of the terminal.
I would like to see all this nonsense go away and keep people at issue in a positive manner regardless of whose side your on.
Wouldnt it be nice to finaly here how someone is willing to make changes instead of just bashing the school, its teachers, board members and the community's elected officials.

If comprehension was something that mattered to you, you would have noticed that I, in no way, threatened anyone. I simply asked for legal advice about libel.
Now, getting back to you most recent statements about your libel.
